Nancy Klion's vision for the renovation of sarabande started with her own experience of spaces that promote rest and peacefulness: clean, straight lines; efficiency and comfort; a balance between form and function.
Working with James Lucero from Jon Anderson Architects and designer Maia Mullen, Nancy developed a renovation plan that would not only honor the classical southwestern style of the original sarabande, but also completely redesign the property according to her vision of simplicity and comfort.
renovation: adding a modern twist
to the classic southwest style
in the redesigned sarabande grande room, guests can relax, eat a gourmet breakfast, sit by the traditional kiva fireplace, and enjoy views of los ranchos de albuquerque and the distant sandia mountains. The clean lines and modern decor exist in harmony with the repurposed viga ceiling beams and expansive windows.
